What was the highlight of Mercure Paris Gare Montparnasse
Good choice when in Paris, location, room, transport wise.
Room was comfortable and spacious, clean, easy to access and use, quiet. Good touch the water stations per floor. Did not have breakfast (see below issue with charge) Location is very good, very close to sightseeing sites, entertainment, markets etc
Upon check-out, unfortunately we had to wait a long time so as to get things right with the charge of my Amex. Then, we realised that we were overcharged, as we never opted for the breakfast option. The member could not get the refund to us and mentioned that would speak to her manager and try to solve this within the next few days. What really stroke us and we passed our feedback is that she never said 'We are sorry for the mistake/invconvenience' etc etc..and even when we said that we were surprised that no apologies were extended for the mistake and overcharge, again the member did not said sorry on behalf of the brand at the end of the day, and neither thought that this was something expected to say. Anyhow, the rest of the team were generally wonderful, helpful and polite, especially Catherine. We would return and stay at this property.

Very Good
Very good size room, Perfectly clean and facilities all in place as expected. Montparnasse is a nice area and plenty of local places to eat drink. There are 3 metro stops closeby that will take you anywhere you need to go in paris all within well under an hour (I would say most touristy places could be reached from here in <40 minutes through walking & metro).
Only problem was the room was quite warm as the AC did not appear to work - nothing that opening the window couldn't solve but the street below is quite noisy even at night, so not ideal.
